When I restore a domain, the dns records are not restored. Looking through the code in feature-dns.pl, I don't see where it loads the new data. Is this supposed to work?
Everything is supposed to work. But sometimes it doesn't and we don't know about it. This sounds like a job for the bug-tracker! ;-)
But, to answer your question with less cheek, a restore should restore everything (assuming everything was backed up). After restoration, if the server is configured and equipped reasonably similarly to the system that created the backup it should work effectively the same (assuming you chose to have it imported with the same configuration--it is possible to change things significantly during a restore, but those are options). If it does not, it's probably a bug.
