FTP server stopped working the first day.

After just one day of a new server the FTP stopped. There have been more than one person with access to the server so my guess is somebody did something to break the new machine. It is a i5 core with 16GB of DDR3 on an ASUS motherboard. Seems to be strong and fast in all other regards.

ProFTPd version 1.34 with stock install and configuration. It will not start. Reboot did not do anything. Is there a way to debug the issue? Suggestions welcome. Thank you in advance. - Scott

Well, like always in case of problems with Linux software: What do the system logs say? What errors do you get? "It will not start" isnt something we can say much about. :-)
