setting up virtualmin for default domain

Can someone lead me to the right path? I am new to Virtualmin. Thanks.

I installed base Debian 6 and then the Linux installer script install.sh, installation successful on server.domainx.com. I used a free DNS service and was able to resolve to server.domainx.com, www.domainx.com, domainx.com.

I am looking to use Virtualmin and create a new user to administer domainx.com and create www.domainx.com, one.domainx.com, two.domainx.com, etc..

When I create Virtual Server domainx.com it creates a new home directory /home/domainx/public_html/ and since this is the same domain name, domainx.com it does not resolve to the new home directory. It still points to /var/www/ the default setup.

Did I set this correctly for Virtualmin to administer the www.domainx.com and their subdomains?

Please advise and let me know what steps were missing. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, the domains shouldn't be directed into /var/www, it should be seeing your content in /home.

If you go into System Settings -> Re-Check Config, does that notice any problems with your setup?
