How to create a subdomain with its own ftp-user?

Hello there,

I just tried to create a subdomain which gets its own user account for ftp and will just have access to the "public_html"-directory for this subdomain.

But that doesn't seem to be possible. I'm always getting 403 Error even if i chmod the directory to "0750".

I hope someone resolved the same issue.

Howdy,

It sounds like you may need to create a website FTP access user.

To do that, go into Edit Mail and FTP Users, and click "Add a website FTP access user".

That should create a user with correct permissions and will put their home directory in the DocumentRoot for that particular Virtual Server.
