Hello everybody, I hope somebody can help me. I googled , I read and I don't know where to start. I have a domain: domain.tld I have a sub-domain: sub.domain.tld I only need sub.domain.tld for FTP so I disabled E-Mail When I login I see th whole index of the server whit the other virtual-servers . I don’t have access to them (no read, write). How can I disable the indexing and lock the ftp-user in his Home directory. Must I use Virtualmin or Webmin? I have Virtualmin Pro Can somebody help me?
Howdy,
By default, FTP users are able to traverse any directories in which they have permission (which, amongst other things, includes any world readable directory).
If you'd like to restrict users to their own directories -- you can set that up in Virtualmin by going into Limits and Validation -> FTP Directory Restrictions, and set "Restrict to directory" to "Users' home directories".

I was looking for something more difficult. That was too easy.
Hi andreychek thanks for your help.
I looked there for several times but I was too scared to put:
Active: yes Apply to: All virtual servers Restrict to directory: Users’ home directories
on a live system. I wasn't sure.
It was much easier then I thought and I had absolutely no problems.
Virtualmin I love you!
