How do I make it so that BIND is not installed? I don't want to manage name servers, I want them to be able to point their domain to my IP from some other name server and be done with it.
You aren't running BIND, so those folks would have to have a DNS server of their own up and running.
However, if they setup their own DNS, and point their domains to the IP of your Virtualmin server, it should work just fine if you've setup that domain within Virtualmin.
go to webmin-bootoptions and switch it off. then disable: start at boot.
also go to virtualmin-features and plugins and disable bind there.
you shouldn't remove it, just disable it.
So then people can just point their domain to my ip and it should be fine right?
