Hi guys,
After playing around with the GPL, I have decided that Virtualmin is the best web server CP that I have tried. So I'm planning on purchasing the Pro version of Virtualmin towards the middle of next month. However I have a few questions:
~The domain limit, does this only apply to top-level domains (example.com) or does it also apply to subdomains (another.example.com)?
~Since it can only be used by one server, is it reliant on the IP of the server, or on your customer number, etc?
~How many more resources does it use compared to the GPL version?
Thank you, and keep up the great work!
Howdy,
I believe the limit refers to Virtual Servers you've created (though I don't think it applies to aliases).
After you perform the install, the license key will be attached to the primary IP of your server. If your IP changes, no problem -- the license database will update within a few days, once it sees that you're using a new IP and not the old one.
As for resources of the Pro versus the GPL version? There's not going to be much of a difference there. The Pro version does come with more features, but that means new screens and options are available to you. Having new options available doesn't really amount to an increase of resource usage though.
