Manually upgrade awstats to latest version?

Hi all,

I was wondering if it's possible to manually provide a more recent version of awstats that Virtualmin will pick up and use.

Currently, my system uses awstats.pl version 6.7, which is more than 2 years old. It doesn't recognize bing.com as a searchengine, and appearantly a lot of errors have been fixed since then. So, how can I upgrade to 6.9?

[I know that I could manually replace the awstats.pl file and libraries but that's not what I want; if virtualmin-awstats is upgraded, I don't want to mess things up.]
