External Web Server, Virtualmin serving only DNS and Mail

Hello

How is to setup on Virtualmin to serving web from an external server:

VPS 1 with Virtualmin DNS and Mail

VPS2 with Odoo Web

Howdy -- thanks for contacting us!

Virtualmin is designed to serve websites off it itself.

While Virtualmin can't serve websites from another server, what you could do is disable Virtualmins web feature, and then setup the DNS 'A' records for your domains to point to your external server, while leaving the DNS MX records at your current server.

With the above DNS setup, that would allow web lookups to point to your external server, and email delivery to occur at your Virtualmin server.

I have to setup A records for: www.domain.tld and domain.tld

to the other VPS?

Meanwhile the Mail server is also on an other server and DNS i made directly with Webmin. I can't say exactly some issues, but for me it was not a good solution to host DNS and Mail on one Virtualmin and Web on an other Virtualmin server.

I came clear to the point that Virtualmin is designed to host all services together with DNS on one server or like i described above.
