Hello,
Before to spend several hours to setup my server with Virtualmin, I would like to know if I will be able to manage easily Multiple Mail server. Exemple if I have 3 domain name, each domain name have their own dedicated IP, the "header return" when I have sent emails should be like below :
IP: 56.78.910.11 (dedicated Ip of domain1.com)
HELO: domain1.com
rDNS: domain1.com
SMTP Banner = domain1.com (hostname = domain1.com)
IP: 56.78.910.22 (dedicated Ip of domain2.com)
HELO: domain2.com
rDNS: domain2.com
SMTP Banner = domain2.com (hostname = domain2.com)
IP: 56.78.910.33 (dedicated Ip of domain3.com)
HELO: domain3.com
rDNS: domain3.com
SMTP Banner = domain3.com (hostname = domain3.com)
Get this result with manual changes directly in the configuration of Postfix or Exim or what ever, is exactly what I want avoid and don't want makes.
Virtualmin can give this with the interface "What You See What you Get" ?
I don't think you will get it with an interface - could be wrong but Virtualmin doesn't seem to cater for advanced things like that, and to be fair, not sure it could (too many variables). Manually you could follow the solution at
https://serverfault.com/questions/650057/postfix-multiple-ip-smtp-banner
and get what you want.
@Dibs thanks for your answer Setup it manually is exactly that I don't want to do ;-) Your link is for the very old version of Postfix and this solution doesn't work any more with these code.
Looking at the documentation for PostFix - it says for "sender_dependent_default_transport_maps (default: empty)" - This feature is available in Postfix 2.7 and later. So would not expect that to mean it's now deprecated functionality. If you look at Webmin - Servers - Postfix Mail Server: the icon for Sender Dependent Transport Maps is there.
Yes - there might be some "manual" element there, but I don't think Virtualmin currently caters for every bit of functionality thru it's UI.
If you need to do as per your original post: you might need to roll your sleeves up. ;)
I did write some topics here in forum about not complete and even very old GUI parts in Virtualmin. ( For Postscript and more)
Is it all possible maybe yup, needed not all, for advanced you have to know the products / software , and therefore is then the edit config function in GUI, only yup hmmmm :(
