Howdy,

What setting were being updated, Apache settings?

If so, is it perhaps failing to start? If there's an error while Apache restarts, you'd be able to see the error by looking in either /var/log/httpd/error_log or /var/log/apache2/error.log.

Hi thanks for your reply, no I was trying to change my host name so I can use amazon route 53 email relay because emails from my domain kept getting banned from google live etc. so I did something that I don’t know how to reverse, as of the moment my bind server cannot start and I’m not sure if it’s because I used another hostname and then reverted back to old one, so the bind is the problem how can I fix please !?

I don’t think it’s Apache, because website is still available on my local network

Howdy,

What happens when trying to access the website remotely? If you receive an error, what error do you see?

The following errors were found in the records file /var/named/centos.local.hosts .. /var/named/centos.local.hosts:1: no TTL specified; zone rejected zone centos.local/IN: loading from master file /var/named/centos.local.hosts failed: no ttl zone centos.local/IN: not loaded due to errors.

so i must have deleted my localhost records, i need some help getting this up and running again please,

Howdy,

It looks like it's saying that some information is missing from the "centos.local" domain, the TTL.

That's normally added by default when creating a domain, so it's a bit unusual that it's not there.

You could try disabling DNS and re-enabling it to ensure all the DNS records are re-created.

Or you could just add a "$ttl 38400" to the top of the file mentioned in the error to see if that resolves it.

Howdy,

Which of the troubleshooting steps I mentioned above have you tried so far?

And what error is it that you're currently seeing?

You may be getting a different error now, meaning we'd need to correct that new issue.
