Billing/auto account creation

Does anyone know of anything besides cpanel for billing/account creation for virtualmin gpl. I don't have much of a budget.

Howdy,

WHMCS is a good tool for providing billing and account creation. It costs about $15/month.

You can install it from within the Install Scripts in Virtualmin.

Hi

WHMCS is a good tool. It says it supports virtualmin pro. But I have gpl... I guess if I installed from gpl, it must work on it, right?

Thanks for the reply. I already installed it and set up much, but an having trouble creating account...

Module Create Failed - Service ID: 2 - Error: Unknown template name

I named the template Default and plan free hosting in virtualmin and WHMCS

This is why I ask if it works with gpl.

Thanks Don

WHMCS should work with both Virtualmin Pro and GPL. The Virtualmin API is the same with both of them.

I changed the plan from 'free hosting' to 'freehosting' and it worked. Once I thought for a bit it became pretty clear... lol... I am no coder but know a little :-)By the way "Thanks a bunch for your help"

I have the same type problem as this thread which you commented on a few years ago.

It seems that if apache restarts during creation... there is not much that can be done?

I set it to CGI wrapper (run as virtual server owner) and it did go to the comfirmation page, but other things did not work. Probably permissions?

Apache error:

[Sat Jun 16 11:31:21 2012] [warn] [client 32.177.31.128] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server, referer: https://www.1cheaphoster.com/whmcs/cart.php?a=view [Sat Jun 16 11:31:21 2012] [error] [client 32.177.31.128] Premature end of script headers: cart.php, referer: https://www.1cheaphoster.com/whmcs/cart.php?a=view

Thanks Don

it could be a permission issue, but that is easily resolved. chown and chmod is then key

In case anyone else needs to know...

I set it to run under apache and changed group to www-data. Then I had to make the template_c folder writable. Not the most secure way... but it worked.
