Is this taking a toll on my server?

Greetings,

I'm checking my maillog file at var/log/maillog and I noticed there are hundreds of the following lines. I just recently turned off email for that domain and setup google apps to handle it. Are those messages going to stop once it's all running?

why turn off email? those messages are imo quite normal.
every server/computer on the net gets those. your mailserver does not relay so there is no problem. It's just virtual traffic.

You'll probably pretty much stop seeing mail for the domain you moved to Google apps once the DNS changes propagate (but that can take a while--there are DNS servers in the wild, particularly on less savory parts of the Internet like spammer-friendly ISPs, that have very long cache times configured).
