Hi Joe,
Got a new dedicated box, Debian 4.0 with 256 megs of RAM and a 25 gig disk.
Clean system, nothing but ssh, DNS handled by the hosting service (TSS.NET)
The install fails here:
[code:1]INFO - Installing Virtualmin and all related packages now using the command: INFO - /usr/bin/apt-get --config-file apt.conf.noninteractive -y --force-yes install virtualmin-base ...in progress, please wait... /Checking quotas..-done. \Turning on quotas...done. /Enabling quotas on filesystem for /home The filesystem / could not be remounted with quotas enabled. You may need to reboot your system, and then enable quotas in the Disk Quotas module. /dpkg: error processing virtualmin-base (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255 |Errors were encountered while processing: virtualmin-base -E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) /usr/bin/apt-get --config-file apt.conf.noninteractive -y --force-yes install virtualmin-base failed. Error (if any): 0[/code:1]
I can log into Virtualmin, but several things are not configured properly and BIND has problems.
Any idea why the install crashes while setting up quotas?
Howdy,
Well, first I'd go ahead and try what the error mentioned if you hadn't already -- to reboot your server, get Virtualmin fired up, then login and enable quotas from within it (click Webmin -> System -> Disk Quotas).
If that doesn't work, I'd go ahead and file a bug report, as quotas are generally something that should work during setup :-)
