Upgraded to Pro and need some Mail Spam Help

I upgraded to Virtualmin Pro and I am not sure what I am using for Spam Protection. ClamAV or Spamassassin?

Is either configured by default?

Any newbie guides out there to help guide me on setting this up properly?

Thank you

Ideally both, though only spamassassin is for spam. ClamAV is anti-virus.

Not in an upgrade (it wouldn't be safe to fiddle with your mail delivery configuration in an automated fashion, as the possibilities are endless...but spam/AV will be finding their way into Virtualmin GPL soon, so this problem won't exist any more).

But, you can probably enable it quite easily (assuming you haven't already setup any procmail rules or spam/AV filters in Postfix). I believe the simplest is probably something like:

/usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/enable-feature.pl --all-domains --spam --virus

You'll also want to make sure mail delivery in the Postfix configuration is procmail-wrapper. You can look in main.cf or in the "Local delivery" in the Webmin Postfix module. The exact command is:

/usr/bin/procmail-wrapper -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME

Holler if you run into problems getting things spinning. If you've previously setup any kind of spam or AV filtering or procmail rules (including using the Webmin SpamAssassin module), let me know exactly what and I'll walk you through removing them and getting switched over to the Virtualmin default methods.

There are no guides for this yet. But will be in the new documentation that I'm planning to finish up by the end or our Early Adopter beta on June 5th.
