When upgrading scripts in multiple domains at once the first place I noticed this problem. I got an error message
Failed to update virtual servers : Domain 11992589721560 does not exist! The /etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains/11992589721560 told me the site name. I copy the users data and tried to remove the site. It will not delete.
Domain 11992589721560 does not exist! After checking I have 9 working sites all with the same problem.. Can't remove.
I don't even know were to look.. Thanks Don<br><br>Post edited by: admin@coastlandtech.com, at: 2008/05/16 07:02
Hi Don,
Does this domain appear on the 'List Virtual Servers' page ?
Also, is it still in your Apache and BIND configuration files?

Yes.. It had the line.. But that had 0 as the uid and guid !!
That was it.. I don't know how I had looked in the file and missed it. I was close to it.. Thanks..

That sounds like a bug actually..
Were these regular domains, or alias domains?

I am not sure what you are calling the 'List Virtual Servers' page, but on the webmin side of blue frame theme they are listed on the "Virtualmin Virtual Servers" list where I got the error when trying to change something on it there. It is also on the drop down list of servers. and I can change the owners limits with no problems. The sites are running. So it has to be in apache and named.
.. . The command /usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/list-domains.pl --multiline --domain
shows everything as expected.
I get the error with trying to delete the Vserver but the 'Disable Virtual Server' seemed to work but I never saw a disable page only got a 404 ...
/etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains/[number] is there and looks fine as far as I can tell..
thanks

I'm not following this thread closely, but "Blue Theme" jumped out at me. Don't do that. There's a theme just for Virtualmin called Virtualmin Framed Theme. It makes everything in Virtualmin easier and faster to use.

That is the one I am using.. I saw a post about incomplete virtual sites being made when something was broken or the web page was stopped, how did they get them fixed.. That me be a clue to fix my problem here. ..

If you look at their files in /etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains, do they have uid= and gid= lines? These should contain the Unix UID and GID of the domain's administration user..

These were normal domains.. The question is how did it happen, if I knoew it may help.. But it was only 9 domains out of 650 domains. So 98.7% were fine.. They were all made with the "Create From Batch File" script that took hours to run..
Thanks..

I found a bug where this error could be incorrectly displayed for alias domains, but for top-level domains (with their own logins) it should never happen. Were these all sub-servers perhaps - that is, domains owned by a different user?

No .. All top level.. It also seems that all the userID were in a row. But the help was pointing in oin the correct direction.
