Howdy all,
Fedora 8 on i386 has just been successfully installed and configured with install.sh for the first time this afternoon. So, Fedora 8 on i386 is now officially a supported platform for Virtualmin Professional.
We still don't really recommend Fedora on servers, as the lifecycle is just too short, but if you do choose to use it, it should work flawlessly right out of the box, and if it doesn't we'll fix it rather than tell you to take a hike (or use a supported OS)!
x86_64 support is built and will probably work, but it hasn't been tested at all yet, so your mileage may vary. I'll get it tested tomorrow.
As always, holler at me in the bug tracker if anything blows up.
Just a brief update on Fedora 8:
x86_64 has been tested this afternoon and confirmed to work.
I've added Fedora 8 on i386 and x86_64 to the list of supported operating systems on the OS Support page.
We will now support Fedora 8 like any of our other Grade A/B systems, including free installation service if the automated installation fails on a fresh install of the system.
