Hi I'm trying to install Virtualmin on my VPS. Some time ago I had found a posting, that described what modules are not needed for virtualmin to work, so that it is also usable on servers with only 256 MB of RAM. But I cant find the posting now.
Maybe someone can tell me which modules I can leave out and how to do it. I have already made an installation, but I can wipe the server clean and start over.
Thanks Ivan
Hey Ivan,
Re-installing won't solve anything. It'll be the same as it is now. ;-)
The thread you're referring to is here:

And I've added it to the next revision of the docs going online with the new website later this week.

Hi Joe
Thanks for the link. That's the thread :-)
OK, now virtualmin works (kind of). I get the following error while checking configuration:
MySQL does not appear to be installed and running on your system, or has not yet been set up properly in Webmin's MySQL Database module. If your system does not use MySQL, it should be disabled in Virtualmin's module configuration page.
- BUT MySql is working. When I look at it with the webmin MySql module I can see the database.
Another error occurs (after disabling the MySQL module):
The Logrotate program appears to be version , but Virtualmin requires version 3.6 or above in order to support multiple log files in the same section.
- I have 3.7 installed
Any ideas.
Best regards
Ivan

Hi
I called my ISP and upgraded my VPS so now everything works fine. Low memory does make virtualmin to behave funky :-)
Thanks
Ivan
