I have no root zone in my BIND. I set up one manually and it asks me to save information to file. So i named that file ***.conf and well when i go back to check the root zone, it shows me nothing ... is this normal ? i have no servers listed ... no nothing!
Everything else is working A ok.
Hey Faisal,
That's weird, and not normal. It is supposed to be setup during the installation, but something might still be a bit off. I'll look into it, and if I can reproduce I'm sure there's an easy fix.
It's even more strange that you set it up again manually and you still don't see it. This sounds like maybe a chroot/non-chroot mismatch (i.e. Webmin thinks that you are or are not chrooted when the opposite is true).
Can you drop your /etc/named.conf and /etc/webmin/bind8/config files into a bug in the bug tracker? It will help me figure out what went wrong, and what can be done to fix it.

Hey Joe .. i sent you an email requesting an installer for CENT OS ... any luck with that ? the bind just doesnt set up root zones for me on FC3 at all. And since most people here are liking CENT OS ... i thought i should give that a try on a test machine at home.
Thanks.
Faisal.
