Email issue from Yahoo

Can someone please help me with this i have been browsing all day trying to find a fix for this and nothing I do is working. Any customers that are emailing us from yahoo seem to be getting stuck in a loop. Looking at the log this is the error we are receiving

relay=mta6.am0.yahoodns.net[98.136.216.25]:25, delay=193731, delays=193709/0.01/11/10, dsn=4.4.2, status=deferred (lost connection with mta6.am0.yahoodns.net[98.136.216.25] while sending end of data -- message may be sent more than once)

If someone could please shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

Hi,

I recently assisted another user with an email issue, and would be happy to help you track down and resolve your issue.

Please email me at: pknowles@tpnsolutions.com so we can schedule some time to over things. I'm available this evening between 5pm - 9pm PST if that works for you.

Howdy -- hmm, is that an error for an incoming message, or an outgoing one?

It sounds like you're saying the problem you have is with incoming messages, but at first glance that appears to be an outgoing message.

Unless the messages from Yahoo are immediately bouncing...

That all sounds very odd though :-)

What you'd probably need to do is post the entire mail log for the connection -- from the moment that Yahoo connects, to the last message generated when it finally disconnects.

I hadn't run into that before, but little Googling suggests it would be a variety of issues -- from a local network configuration problem, a firewall problem, to possibly an email account issue if it's immediately bouncing. The entire log entry may help with the troubleshooting.

However, the Support area here is for Virtualmin Pro customers -- we'd encourage you to post that information in the Forums. We monitor those, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community. Thanks!

Looks like this could be a network issue connecting to Yahoo's SMTP servers.

If you ping the address 98.136.216.25 , does it report any packet loss?

Are you using any firewall or intrusion detection systems?

A few of them seem to cause problems sending/receiving messages from places like Yahoo!, Hotmail, etc...
