From the inbox in usermin : Failed to login to POP3 server : Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more information. [2011-10-14 07:03:17] - in a pretty shade of red.
When I click the manage folders link in usermin's interface the inbox appears as IMAP. How'd that happen? Is this the reason I get the inbox error?
It's a new virtual server; click, boom, setup. Perhaps I changed a setting as to how new servers are set up with respect to email?
Thanks

Howdy -- you may want to take a peek at your mail logs, in /var/log/mail.log -- those may contain errors regarding what's going wrong there.

I have a similar problem. When I click on "manage folders" my folders come up and are shown as IMAP. But they are not IMAP - they are POP3. Clicking on one of the folders I get the following error message. "An error occurred listing mail in this folder : Failed to login to POP3 server : Mailbox doesn't exist: xxxxxx@xxxxx_com_au (0.000 + 0.000 secs). " Any thoughts folks ? Cheers Phil

Hi,
Have a look at the logs, start with /var/log/mail.log, debug what is wrong and preventing you from connecting to your POP/IMAP. Besdies, you can choose mail storage type used, for Usermin in Webmin/Usermin Configuration/Usermin Module Configuration/Read Mail. If you don't care about connecting to your mail account using IMAP, you could simply use Maildir format, and it will just work.
