install.sh produces "/tmp/.virtualmin-9801/files/spinner: 11: Syntax error: Bad substitution"

Hello,

Running the install script produces the error shown above :(

A quick check of spinner file does seem to confirm that it has a bug...
---------------------
root@is-here:/tmp/.virtualmin-9801/files# sh -x spinner
+ i=1
+ sp=/-\|
+ esc=
reen=
+ reset=
spinner: 11: Syntax error: Bad substitution
---------------------

But then, I'm no CLI buff, so I could be missing the point.

Any ideas on how to proceed? Any info I can provide to help?

My system:
Ubuntu 7.1
Linux backup.is-here.org 2.6.22-14-server #1 i686 GNU/Linux

I posted a few more details in the forum, but I thought a bug report would be helpful for tracking...

Here is the forum post: http://www.virtualmin.com/forums/help-home-for-newbies/re%3ainstall-hang...

Thanks for taking a peek.
